Synthedup - Replacement for the Z4
So as many of you know I have broken my Z4 for spares after 7 years if great fun.
Last Wednesday I picked up its replacement.
A 2007 Porsche Cayman, 36,000, 2 previous owners with Full Porsche service history.
it's the smaller 2.7, manual, with extended leather, nav, MFSW, sports exhaust, upgraded paint, centre caps, rear parking, and a few more bits, essentially £10,000 of options from the factory.
The documentation I have is as expected from a loved car, every MOT, invoice, and the original order document from 2007.
The car had a service at Porsche Leeds last week, £1400 for the belts to be changed and a full inspection. it also had 4 new Michelin Super Sports fitted. All receipts present.
The car drives amazing, the handling is just wow and the noise with the sports exhaust is
I also have a loan car for a few months, picked her up on Friday. a 2006 911,997.
some of you may remember me posting about it last year as it had been stood and unused. Well, my friend called me last week and said I have insured you on it, come and get it.
So I did, mine is asleep in the garage and I'm using the 997 for a few months until he asked for it back.

Isn't that a bad move driving the 911. You'll not want to get back in the Cayman afterwards.

No, although the 370z Nismo was a nice car I had my heart set of a Porsche.
He will probably just park it back up in the garage.

Well, I've driven them back to back for the last few days, the 911 is auto and the cayman manual. Both handle great and feel solid.
Although the 911 is loverly I prefer the manual. and with the sports exhaust, the cayman sounds great.

Great news.
I'd love to know what you think of the Cayman once you've driven it a bit - just in case I get an urge to defect to a Porsche (like so many on here just lately)!
Coupes because stunning!
