Post by john-e89 » Fri Jul 05, 2019 4:20 pm

Well it’s a gorrrrrrrrrrrrgeous late afternoon, what is anyone planning to do tonight..?

BBQ...pub visit...feet up...hoon etc..?

Personally I’m going to have to make room in the tank for some more Shell super plus in the M around the Peak District...would be rather rude not to I think.... :P :driving:

Recoverin' from a 3-week-and-counting bout of bacterial pneumonia ffs :x
As I feel like I'm on the mend and off the meds I got a couple of beers in. Bit naughty maybe but it's Friday.
Jus chillin' in the back garden listenin to some Pink Floyd on a vintage Walkman and tonight's company is this adorable little beast. Dunno who it belongs to but it's taken a liking to one of me garden chairs. lol.
Cheers!

I'm in Edinburgh. Stopped raining now but didn't get to enjoy my Friday drive home from work due to the rain so feeling sorry for myself.

Going to service my other wheels instead and continue my hunt for the perfect 981 Boxster ...

Blew over the old shed & potting shed that were already here, got a new concrete base made up & replacement shed arrived yesterday, spent the afternoon painting it
Got a new log store while i was at it & put some logs in it this afternoon, went shopping for some guttering to feed the shed water butt.
I’ve never been so busy since i stopped working :P

Nice shed Bear  I need a new workshop to replace my 2 rickety old things the previous owner left me. Already got a huge great concrete base laid, just need a decent bit of wood to replace them :headbang:

Gave the car a full clean last night so my neighbour could drive his daughter to her school prom tonight. Stole Debs 1’er today for work so I could leave the Z4 at home rather than risk it getting dirty 😂

When he came back I told him to keep the car for a few hours and go for a drive with his wife, she was like a kid at Christmas!

Felt really good to do this for them, apparently his daughter was really happy. Known her since she was in primary school and she has adht and autism, so although it’s not a Ferrari, it hopefully helped make it a special night for her.

Going to give them the footage from the dashcam of driving up to the hotel where it was, apparently there were loads of people watching.

Put him on my insurance and AXA wouldn’t add him as a temporary driver....so I added him as an additional named driver until the policy renewal in September for.....just over £10!!!

Guy over the road has a gorgeous red Morgan (don’t ask for more details cos I don’t know that, just that it’s gorgeous) and he was going out in it and said (jokingly) they should have borrowed a proper car 😀
