Delete Phonebook

Post by Dale E. Rich » Tue May 21, 2019 8:53 pm

I have a 2005 Z4 E85 and have paired my phone, which promptly downloaded all my contacts and their phone numbers into the car. Yikes, I know a lot of people. But I Only call very few.

Is there a way I can delete the contacts? Will unpairing my phone make them disappear?

Can anyone help?

I think it downloads your phone book each time it connects

It has disappeared. Apparently setting the phone to NOT share contacts was all that was required. After a few connections with no contact sharing, it was removed.

Sorry for the delay in responding. When you pair the phone, the screen that asks for the PIN also has two check boxes. One of which will share your contacts. Do Not check that one.
