Can’t remember the last forum I was on with this many spam advert threads. Cmon mods

Thanks for the pep talk, however on a bad day I might just class this as spam and drop the ban hammer :poke:

Carry on then. I’m on many forums (much busier than this) and they rarely get spam. This I’ve noticed has lots.

Anyway if you’re gonna ban me go for it oh powerful one

Just think it’s charming there’s a threat of a ban for voicing an opinion

The smiley at the end signifies a joke, hence the reason we have them

not sure I see a smiley from the mod! Alas we are going round in circles

To be honest, I use the 'unread posts' facility when I'm on here, and spam stands out like the proverbial dog's doodahs.
It doesn't take more than a quick glance to spot them then simply move the mouse a few millimetres and click on something else.
I can't remember a time when I have come back and seen the same spam still there, so the mods seem to have a pretty good handle on it to me.

But I have to say, as a newbie myself, I would be seriously tempted to use 'please' and 'thank you', rather than 'c'mon'.

However it is meant, email is notoriously difficult to convey emotion on, and the mods, who I'm assuming are just normal human beings, with lives to lead outside of cyberspace, should be respected for the work they do on our behalf.

They don't have the luxury of venting their feelings on the forum, as they are constantly trying to set the right example. Give 'em a break please.

The stick poking smiley you even responded to, anyway your attitude stinks tbh, so no big deal if you cant cope with a few spam posts.

Having reflected on this, my response was a knee-jerk reaction to the fact that I spend a lot of my time on the forum dealing with spam - I was never going to ban you over this and it was petty of me to threaten you, even if it was a meant tongue in cheek. No hard feelings I hope.

Don't go soft on him Marlon. His attitude stinks TBH.

He says he is on plenty of other forums, so why doesn’t he bugger off back to one of them and leave us alone.

Personally I think the MODS do a great job of clearing the spam and all the other crap they have to monitor on here so the last thing they need is abuse from some idiot that’s just joined.

Just my opinion :fuelfire:
