It's that the tungsten Lum-Tec?
And the restoration watch looks great (what is it?)
Thanks, i was an early fan of the Lum-tec brand, well the M tungsten range having owned an M6,7,25 and M26 GMT, shame they don’t do them anymore

Regarding the restoration job, that is an “A Schild”. It was my wife’s fathers. He bought two at the beginning of WW2, one for him and another for his wife, Carole found it in a draw a couple of years ago, non running, no second hand and the crystal missing. I sent it to Duncan who I knew from TZ and he really went to town on it, sourced a replacement hand from overseas, got a new crystal made, refurbed the dial and rebuilt the movement, In fact I was so amazed when I got it back I actually paid him more than he asked for as I thought he was under charging me!!!,. My wife actually was in tears when she saw it, below is a link to the rebuilt from Duncan’s site

Thanks. I have the Lum-Tec M61 (pic posted somewhere in this thread) and it has a real wrist 'presence'
I've been looking through the blog of the watchmaker you posted a link to - what a great job he does, I'm enjoying looking through some of the watches he's worked on.

Thanks, I have to say Duncan is a top guy, there's a couple of my watches on his website, each service is accompanied by a mass of photos through all the stages. Highly recommend

My Seamaster - Its 12 years old now and worn every day.
I have to say that its not the slimmest watch I've ever owned.

You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

Do any of you get your watches serviced?

I have a Seamaster (Planet Ocean if that's relevant) from 2011 and they said it needed servicing after 8 years. It works ok, sometimes it looses time and others it's ok.

What sort of money is a general service (i.e. no problems are found) from Omega?
