New toy
Had a mini 25 myself it was so frugal and fun but it was new and it went back within a month as the window frame welding/ brazing to the doors split. Just bought a R56 Mini for my son to learn in, it's so much fun even though it's twice the size of the 25 ( and much better built )

That’s very cool.
Excellent colour choice too, although I’m not sure about the pink vagina-meets-Walls-ice-cream logo.

I thought you'd have been looking for a Mini Traveller Fred, with your passion for wood

looks great! I had a couple of classic Minis with my best one being a Mini 30 i had about 10 or so years ago. Spent 2 years building it back up, dropped a John Cooper works engine in it but had it looking standard and then had it for 2 months before someone went into the back of me and put me into a wall and drove off!
Always looking for another as i feel it is an itch i still need to scratch properly! Could never be angry driving the old minis!

You don't want to start swapping engine sizes around if you want to stay tax free - mines a standard 1000cc but I've got a stage 3 head to go on - I will change to the later hif44 carb though. Have you read this?

Good shout about tax free, although the Government will probably change the goalposts again at some point! I'll look into the tuning, I'm not interested in a pocket rocket just something to keep up with modern traffic and throw around roundabouts!
The book looks like something I'll buy, not seen it before, I'll check on the Net later .
Cheers for the info .

Must admit, my sons standard Mini 1000 had no issues staying with the traffic, these are pretty nippy little cars. The go cart handling is still legendary.
That's a handy storage system Harry

I loved my mini in my youth - Full race motor, straight cut box etc etc
First engine 999s then 1293s- Happy Days
All I've got left is one tatty photograph and a 10" Motalita steering wheel but a lot of memories
