Have you actually had to use them? It looks like a better alternative to the Tyreweld canisterSmartbear wrote: βThu Mar 14, 2019 5:24 pmThese are rats tails

How to get out of trouble?
Marlon I have done two repairs using a similar kit. One I Changed the tyre a few days later, to be safe, as it was towards the edge of the legal safe zone. The other I ran around on for several months untill it wore out. Last one took me about 35 mins total. Quicker than waiting for a truck.Marlon wrote: βThu Mar 14, 2019 5:29 pmHave you actually had to use them? I also have tyre weld in the boot, but have never used it and of course the ///M comes with a compressor in the boot. So just need to ensure I have a Jack and bar in there as well.

Hopefully I wonβt need them but you know I would if I didnβt have them

I just started a similar topic; as my E89 has the TPMS valves, I'm reluctant to use 'gunk'... So am considering this:

I've got rats tails too. Haven't used them on the zed, but I've used them on my van and never had a problem with them.

Yep, Iβve used them on my bikes & cars several times over the years and never had a problem-theyβve always lasted until the tire has worn out.Marlon wrote: βThu Mar 14, 2019 5:29 pmHave you actually had to use them? I have a breakdown bag in the boot with the rats tails, pliers for pulling out nails etc from the tyre bmw e46 jack and a pump, obd dongle thingy and a smartphone with torque & Carly apps.
I feel safe with those on board

How to get out of trouble?
I have two large tins of Holts Tyre Weld in the boot. Should I be carrying a compressor too? I thought the Tyre Weld stuff inflated the tyre as well!

I think Holts inflates the tyre as well. The Slime product I carry doesnβt hence the need for a tyre inflator.
