Auto Finesse Tripple

Post by GarethFishr » Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:27 am

Hi,

Sharing my experience of Auto Finesse's Tripple polish - https://shop.autofinesse.co.uk/polish/tripple-500ml.

I've tried a few polishes through the years but this one is a 'cut' above the rest. I thought the Z4 was shiny but I was completely wrong.

Nice work there! Was the paint really that dull before..looks almost like you’ve wet sanded that part? How does the polish compare to megs 105..?

It actually didn't look dull until it compared against the polished part. These are previous photo of how it looked. When all the car was like the right hand side it actually looked like any other clean car.. but maybe not a deep black, like an 80% black..

Just looked at their website, does it come with the applicator (Puck) or is that a separate purchase?

Tripple i a decent product but be aware.... It has little to no actual "Cut"... What your seeing is the filling properties.
The finish you had before will be back in a few weeks of daily use. Menzerna 3 in 1 is a much better product and offers more cut. Overall if you want excellent results you need to look into better compounds.

Yep, spot on...logic would say any polish with a wax in is going to do almost zero cut and just act as a filler.

Absolutely... AF tripple is a tiny, and i mean a tiny bit of cut, a glaze and a T1 grade wax... so its literally a swirl filler. Amazing results, but totally false. i use it in my basic valet packages to get the cars looking glossy for (higher end) valeting money!

As a complete novice to valeting...mines lucky if it gets a wash, I'm presuming that you would use a product with low cut for the regular polish and a high cut one infrequently?

this is a good rationale or... a high quality compound, and ceramic coat the car so all you need to do is have a solid wash routine and always have that freshly detailed look :-)
