Morning all ,
Was looking at options for my zed in terms of steering wheels ... firstly mine is the all black m wheel with no buttons on it but it’s in pretty poor condition (just on the spokes, the ring for want of a better term is fantastic) so I was wondering what you have all done ?
I am toying with aftermarket but still want the car to be oem looking although a flat bottom omp wheel does appeal ... it would also serve a purpose as my mrs needs to jack the seat up so high to drive it that the standard wheel touches her legs (only just!)
Looking for ideas and inspiration but either way it needs changing!

There’s the royal wheels option, loads of custom from here and the finished product looks great. Lots of options with materials, stitching colour etc. Not sure if they refurb the plastics but I’d guess so. Have a look on their website. It’s where mine will be heading when it’s time.

I stripped my own wheel and used PlastiKote Fast Dry Enamel Aerosol, really nice finish.
I went out in the cold just to take this so it's as much as you get. Ex E86 Z4 3.0si coupé facelift blue now Z'less

Not sure how well it’ll be received by the purists but as an alternative to the Royal treatment I’m looking into this eBay company that reshapes the wheel. See here: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3108361169
I think it looks amazing so when I’ve saved some dosh am going to try that. You keep your own airbag and buttons and transfer them over so only the wheel and grip changes (I believe you send in your old wheel after receiving the new one).
