don't just refresh the front though, they're bound to be knackered and the backs are very easy to change

Deffinately do front and back. For all four springs anything from £140 to £200 depending on brand.

no actually, i was truly confused and didnt know which course to take, on the suspension thing and im truly grateful for all your responses, but, when the 16" wheel posts developed like they did.. like most i prefer the 18" and thats what i have on my car, but i couldn't resist it when someone got pompous :poke:
So thanks fellas

So you prefer 18” all along then.

grins - yup..
and your right about being quicker than me, i thought i might catch you at the petrol station :)
and no not a waste of time, because until i bottomed the other day i had assumed it was simply an uncomfortable ride and 16's would help and was unaware my suspension was stuffed in some way. A voyage of discovery you might say., and it was only after a visit to my local stealer and asked for a spec sheet did i discover it was an m sport, the last thing i wanted for comfort. So im wiser now.

You really need to get this done soon now, road warrior. I’m not sure I could handle it coming to nothing without some kind of self-harming.
