CSL or Z4M wheels wanted for my new coupe

Post by bean79 » Tue Jan 01, 2019 3:42 pm

Hi

After patiently waiting I found my perfect spec and picked up my new coupe sport just before Christmas. Love everything about the car with the exception of the the tram lining and general vagueness from the front end. Going to check out suspension, but as the tyres need replacing I'm looking for a new set of wheels too.

Love the CSL and M wheels. If there are any for sale or anyone has any advice I'd love to hear from you.

These are one eBay. Look ok to me. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-M3-Z4-CS ... :rk:2:pf:1

Cheers

Tom

CSL or Z4M wheels wanted for my new coupe

You may have issues with those on the rear. That width and the low offset of 27 mean they will probbly rub on the outer edge on a non ///M

Some say they fit, but others have rolled the arches etc.

Thanks for replying. Noticed you have OEM CSLs. Do they have the same issues?

It’s the OEM spec CSL that will cause you the issue.

As has been said the offset on the rears you’ve put in will almost certainly rub. The different components used on the M mean the et27’s fit.

I’m just about rub free with et33’s at the back. I am on eibachs but I dont think it will work even if you’ve no plans to lower :(

Thanks for replying. I’m thinking about giving the 224’s a go with the correct tyre size for the 3.0.

Any experience with that?

I've got some 18" E89 wheels on mine - the rears are ET40 and they are fine.

But if you really want CSLs you could always look for CSL replicas.

Thanks. Pretty set on the 224s now. Just got to wait for some to come up. 👍

Right, 224s do look good - shame I sold a set last year (mind you it was a set of 4 fronts).

I've got a set freshly refurbed (well a year ago but not been fitted since), gunmetal powdercoat, no cracks/buckles etc. Fitted with 4 or 5 year old Vred Wintracs with good tread left. Let me know if you're interested and the colour suits, if not I suspect the price I'd want wouldn't make sense..
