Rear Fog Lights E85 2.0 2006 Facelift
I have noticed the only the drivers side lights up ....although there is a light Bulb in both sides ....checked both bulbs and all working. Is this a Left had / Right done thing done at factory. Can a fellow member look on there car and see if its the same. Otherwise i have an issue , wiring or something else.

My face lift e85 only has one operating fog light - think other side has working bulb as when you have an emergency braking situation fog lights act as extra brake lights

only drivers side will work, but you can program the other side to come on, but its one or the other.

Because the fog lamps are used for the Brake Force Display, only one comes on as your rear fog light. If you code the car LHD it will swap, you have no issue

I had to add/retro-fit rear fog lights to my car (E85) out of EU regulations, I coded both sides because I did not like the single side look. Wonder if my brake force display work now, will have to test it I guess.......Scooba_Steve wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 11:31 pm Because the fog lamps are used for the Brake Force Display, only one comes on as your rear fog light. It should still work but obviously if you have fog lights on then it wouldn't be noticed. You can code the centre (I have done this) and possibly sides to flash.

Just wanted to say, very good to know!
There's a slim chance I might be moving abroad and taking the car with. So being able to leave original rear lights in and just recoding the other fog light to operate could make life (car-wise) a lot easier.
