I put Castrol Syntrans B75W (API GL-4, ZF TE-ML 11) in my gearbox April 2017. Quieter and much smoother changes. No complaints and would definitely use the same again

Used Miller's 75w80 myself, again perfectly smooth changes.

Factory spec is a 75w80 oil that meets GL4 specifications, so stick with that and you won't go wrong. Quantity is roughly 1l. Best bet is to buy 2 1l bottles, that way you won't be caught short but could return one if you don't need it?

Just ended up using the Bmw specific. My bmw indy gets huge discount on it. Might not be the best oil going compared to others mentioned but the difference is night and day

What mileage are you on? I’ve been thinking now would be a perfect time to change mine at 44k

Wow that's low mileage mine is just past 95,000 miles. I would get it done as its pretty cheap. I was charged 120 for gearbox oil, engine oil, oil filter, suspension check and a full diagnostic in my mind I have fallen in love with the gear changes
