I remember you had to get out of the way of the sheep trucks, s they stopped for nobody on the major roads...I sat major..they were single track with passing places! You had to judge whether you'd make the next passing place before the truck would come thundering through! Epic scenery and epic roads! It's on the list!
Turns out we are on part of the NC500 - the bottom left Wester Ross loop:

Looking at the map as you say, if you are traveling around the coast of Scotland there are so few A Roads that you are travelling parts of the NC500 whether you know it or not. We are already planning next year's Scotland trip, possibly a fortnight with the second week higher up, so taking in the second half of the NC500 if travelling clockwise

Don't let Number5 here that. I keep seeing a certain Alpina every other month, on this year's Calendar.

Day One of a 5,000km road-trip in south-eastern Australia. A combination of roadworks and light rain

Roof was down, more than it was up , with the weather improving the further north we drove.
Starting near the Victorian snow fields with morning temperatures struggling to reach zero we ended up in the tropical sugar-cane fields of southern Queensland before reaching the coast and turning south again. The Bimmer performed faultlessly with effortless cruising and impressive overtaking, even returning an average of 8.2 L/100km

Looks just perfect. Never driven in Australia. I did ride Brisbane to Sydney, through the mountains, on my push bike once. That was 35 years ago. I will always have those memories, great place.

I drove from Brisbane to Sydney in a rented Hyundai i30 back in 2011.
It was quite an experience, but they really do enforce speed limits so the Hyundai was plenty quick enough!
Highlight of the trip was driving over Sydney Harbour bridge - that felt really special.
I don't think I'd have a licence for long in any Z4!
