Cheapie OBD Scanner

Post by TitanTim » Sat Aug 04, 2018 7:08 pm

Came across this cheapie OBD scanner the other day on Amazon made by Autool (X60), thought for 30 quid it would be worth a punt. Fitted it today in the i10 and have to say compared to the P3 Vent Gauge I have in the M140i which cost a couple of hundred it's an absolute bargain. Displays alsorts of parameters :)

That looks neat Tim, does it read fault codes or just display live parameters?

Hi Rob, yes it can scan fault codes and supposedly clear them, that's what it says on the box :x not tried it though.

I like the look of that

I’m assuming you have a cable tucked away that you leave in the OBD?

Yes Tom, I've tucked the cable behind the door seal and its permanently plugged into the OBD socket under the dash, it powers off with the ignition off.
