Similar to a few others, an incident with the garage...

My garage has a small incline leading up to it so while having to work the clutch to ease the car in then out of nowhere the mother of all sneezes hits me. Foot slipped clean of the clutch pedal and the car proceeded to crash into the side of the garage!

Front bumper and OS front wing needed a hefty repair and full respray. Safe to say that's the most expensive sneeze I've ever had!

Told a very funny joke about Quasimodo to a colleague I'd worked with for years. Got all the way to the punchline before remembering that he had a very pronounced hump on his back.... :tumbleweed:

All these garage stories must be why it can be more expensive to insure your car if you have a garage

True - I asked the question when my online quote differed between garaged and drive parked
Response was there more chance of something dropping on the car in the garage

Now I feel a bit better - I was going backwards in my E46 when I carried on going ignoring the constant beeping! :headbang:

But my most stupid mistake was probably on a motorbike!

I got a great deal on a 1977 Yamaha RD250D in 1978, as my then girlfriend worked for the importer! :)

I decided to find out how effective the front disc brake was - very effective was the answer!

But a "stoppy" only works if the bike is in a straight line, and mine wasn't when I did my experiment! :headbang: So it landed on it's side - like I did! Oops
Coupes because stunning!

I should add to my stupid going forward flat line beep - that I did a similar stunt in mrs k s 335 - the parking area was tight and I reversed into some loose shrubbery while the beepers were going silly - BUMP! There was a outward opened gate - now I’ve got a small crease in the bumper and a smug look on her face!

Changing the coolant on my zed. Had it up on axel stands on the front. Put the car in gear as the handbrake is a bit poop. Finished the coolant and went to start car to bleed the system totally forgetting it was in gear. I crapped myself as the car launched forward coming off the stands, luckily the stands were cheap ones from halford so they bent and not the car!

That’s something I’ve definitely learned from!
