E89 35is left the stable....new steed in place.

Post by john-e89 » Tue Mar 27, 2018 3:44 pm

Bonjourno,

Well I’ve agonised and dithered over this for about a year and a half... but today finally saw my end of 35is ownership. Whilst a very very good lovely car it just didn’t do what I wanted it to, and holding my hands up I’ve been a little bit disappointed with it for what I paid for it new, even though I got the big discount. As an every day and cruising distance roadster it’s awesome, cannot fault it, but I made the mistake of not getting a manual, and it’s just not light or responsive enough for what I want. A wonderful car nonetheless and I will definately miss it.

Sooooo.....gone to the dark side....

I’ve gone for the 2.7 manual as I simply don’t need any more shove, it’s about pure driving rather than ooodles of unusable power wasted. The roads in the Peak District are too twisty and dangerous for massive grunt.

This is the Black edition, so it has most of the toys as standard. 14k miles and just the 60 miles I’ve done getting home have convinced I’ve done the right thing....though the bank says otherwise....

Lots hate the things....Gaz will kill me..... but I really like it......so tough titties..... :nahnah:

Nice choice and great gearbox.

As you said, it is how much you enjoy the drive and getting the gears right in the bends is the best driving feeling

You even have a "his" and "hers" storage boot now to stop the arguing
