Ventured out this morning and lost my washer cover!
Despite the weather I made my way to work this morning... lost the passenger side washer jet cover! Doh!
Anyone know where I can get a spare? Are Left and Right interchangeable?

Just parked up to see mine hasn't fully retracted. The cap still seems very secure so hopefully it won't fall off! Probably just frozen up

Just check that the diamond shaped clip is still in place on top of the pop-up washer, unfortunately they often come off with the cover and the clip comes as part of the washer and is not sold separately. Both the clip and the cover are handed and are not interchangeable L - R.

I know, really disgusting driving weather. Needed to spray the windscreen every minute to clear the salt/dirt build up! I dread to think how dirty it is come wash time!

Great, I’m sure I didn’t see it when I took a peak into the holeEwazix wrote: ↑Thu Mar 01, 2018 10:17 pmJust check that the diamond shaped clip is still in place on top of the pop-up washer, unfortunately they often come off with the cover and the clip comes as part of the washer and is not sold separately. Annoying thing is I don’t even use the headlight washer. Deactivated it.

That one is primed, I had an un-primed one from the dealer cheaper a few years back and painted it. A colour matched cover from BMW costs over £45!
I had previously wondered if the retaining clips could be 3D printed and it now looks like someone is, I've no idea if they are any good and won't just ship your new cover but must be worth buying to see if it looks OK. Buying a complete washer unit is the only way to get a retaining clip from BMW and cost £80 or so. https://www.shapeways.com/product/WY58J ... z4-e85-e86

I read on another forum a while back that the diamond shaped retaining clips are also a shared part with the Volvo XC90 headlight washer jets and are interchangeable with BMW. I've not actually confirmed this myself, but thought I would share it since it might be cheaper to buy the Volvo unit just for the clip alone.Ewazix wrote: ↑Thu Mar 01, 2018 11:38 pmThat one is primed, I had an un-primed one from the dealer cheaper a few years back and painted it. I'm sure mine was primed, will have to check the price paid now.Ewazix wrote: ↑Thu Mar 01, 2018 11:38 pmThat one is primed, I had an un-primed one from the dealer cheaper a few years back and painted it. A colour matched cover from BMW costs over £45!

Regarding the dimaond clip, from memory somebody has printed them. Think there is a model in thingverse.
