2JZ Z4 Coupe
I saw this on YouTube and then found the thread on ZPOST. It's an awesome build and I haven't seen it on here but apologies if it is a repost.

Quite a lot judging by the build thread as there were so many things to work out, like a drive by wire throttle on a throttle cable engine.

Well that was a great watch. And that guy has the exact right attitude to car modding.
I have a 1jz sat doing nothing in the workshop....... No i must finish 1 project before starting another!!!
I can think of a few ways round the electronic manual throttle problem that done seem that difficult? Like why not just fit the BMW throttle body? I guess there is some reason maybe it’s not big enough? And he is obviously not using the standard ecu? So would think that’s why he had so many electrical problems. Trying to get an aftermarket ecu working. I have more questions than answers. I suppose I had best go read the thread.

I really don’t understand why this isn’t the most talked about post on the forum?! It really is the most interesting thing happening in z4 land right now!

I was a bit hesitant that it had been posted before, as I'd also spotted our friend GuidoK posting on the build thread.
It's not the only 2JZ Z4 but it is a very good fit and finish.
Here's a more rough and ready but even crazier one: https://youtube.com/watch?v=eq0biHjlOLo

That first build is incredible - fair play to the guy, the wiring alone is seriously bloody impressive!
I really wish I had the time space and money to do a project like that!

It is a hell of a thing Stivie has done. And I love his car. But the 2jz is such a great engine. These engines will make 800bhp reliably all day long. I am not sure the v10 would?!Mr Tidy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2018 12:21 amI thought it might be, but then I read the post by "Stevie.w" on this thread!Machine monkey wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 10:30 pmI really don’t understand why this isn’t the most talked about post on the forum?! It’s not rough and ready it’s just been built for different things. I bet this build cost more than the first. And probably has loads of very trick mods.
