If somebody said to me "I'll buy the car but want an MOT on it" I wouldn't let it stand in the way of a sale, would pop it into my local garage and get it done and know that it will fly through anyway but as I'm not made of money I wont MOT it without a sale until its due.
Thanks

I've been asked about tyre tread depth and have added a range to the advert, in summary 6.3mm is the shallowest and 8.5mm the deepest :D

No surprise that the first person to view the car immediately placed a deposit - thanks for the comments and queries guys.

I’ll be listing the four 18” wheels with excllent Pilot Sports soon.

Keith is getting it MoT'd for me.
The car is mint condition but when I own her I will detail it within an inch of its life with full wash/chemical decontaminate/clay bar/polish and ceramic coat. It could also do with the brake callipers painting; it makes a huge difference to the look of the car IMO. I am also going to swap the chrome radiator grills for black ones. Also a permanent wired dash cam - I am going to go with a Nextbase 412GW with the custom mount as per my previous thread.

I have installed CCTV motion detect inside my garage for when I get her and moved a power socket closer to where I can keep a battery conditioner connected.

Sounds like it will be cossetted :) the E89 doesn't appear to suffer from any battery drain though so unless you plan leaving it garaged for months on end there's no real need to condition the battery

Well done on the purchase of a great looking car.

You remind me of me I'm going through the exact same process you described above except I am using a polymer sealant as opposed to ceramic, although I have used ceramic on the wheels. Have just finished painting the calipers.
Black grills arriving next week then will paint lower grills to match

Have not decided which dash cam to get but like the Street Guardian so am waiting for info on their new 2018 models.

Will be interested to hear your experiences of the detailing and hard wiring so we can share notes :D .

I'l let you know Gaffa. The safest option to avoid touching any existing cable or system is to use an adder fuse ( as in "to add" not a type of snake ;) ) in the fusebox, as long as the lid will close with the adder fuse in there. I have not done this before on the E89 but will work it out.
