Hi guys

what do you recommend wiper wise? I have some bosch now but the passangers side is not sitting flush.. wondering if there's a make that actually makes wipers that fit?

Because of the curve of the windscreen I don't think any wipers really fit nicely, I went an inch down on standard with aero wipers and looks ok. Squeak a bit though

Yeh, the screen really curves away considerably at the edge of the passenger side. Looks like these are the main options, maybe try an alternative to the Bosch and report back if any better. The Michelins look interesting.... https://www.wiperblades.co.uk/bmw-z4-ye ... er-blades/

Soft Cover:
Provides maximum flexibility for enhanced responsiveness & protection from clogging with ice, snow and debris.

Independent Suspension Tertiary:
Adjusts to windscreen’s shape/curvature to help maintain complete wiper blade contact.

Smart Flex Secondary:
Holds wiper ends down on windscreen for optimum wipe performance.

Riveted Smart Hinge:
Provides maximum lateral strength to eliminate twisting of the frame during the wipe and to hold a secure, consistent position on the windscreen.

Actively responds to windscreen shape or curvature across the entire wipe pattern

No flat blades sit flush. If you use the old skool bosch with spoiler job they sit perfectly. Flats don't have the pressure needed.

Maybe a bit left field but I have PIAA Super Sporza with the Aero spoiler and they seem a pretty good fit.

I recently replaced my standard Bosch with standard Bosch, all good. I use any window cleaner to get rid of spots on glass.

Anyone tried any other blades over the winter? I caught mine when drying the car the other day and bent it slightly so it doesn't wipe properly anymore. Thinking of giving these a try...

I bought those Michelin stealth blades from costco a few weeks ago, £6 per blade, bargain.

I went for an inch less on both blades, so they fit the windscreen better. (19'' and 20'')

Other the years i've gone through all sorts of different blades, standard oem style, flatblade bosch aerotwins and now michelin hybrids, and these are the best in terms of noise.

All the others used previously always made a screeching noise as they wiped.

Why not go crazy and get the bmw ones, y'know the ones that actually fit?
Paid £10.79 for my last replacement passenger side, £4 I can do without saving.

ETA lols didn't realise people were paying more for aftermarket ones that don't fit and squeak apparently :dizzy:
Double Edit, ok those prices are for a set..... still there's not a whole lot in it.

Mine are currently OEM but they don't follow the curve of the screen that well, particularly at the very edges of the passenger side at rest. They are off the screen by a good 2-3mm. They do wipe OK (or at least they did) though.

Nothing against OEM, just that they will have been made to a price and designed more than 10 years ago to boot. Technology moves on.

Are there any out there that actually fit the screen any better than the BMW ones on that passenger edge? My new one fits pretty well, although I'd agree it's not absolutely perfect. I tried some bosch (aero I think) ones and the gap there was a joke, it looked awful.
What do modern wiper blades do that 10 yr old ones don't out of interest?
