As for the roof module, I'd go for a module that also lets you control the roof while driving up to 30mph. Great when driving and it suddenly starts to rain (or the sun gets out )
There are multiple suppliers/manufacturers available that have that option. The gaptech+ module cant do that afaik.

If it's a pre-facelift...
Sound deadening in the doors - gives them a nice solid 'thunk' when closing rather than the standard hollow 'tinny' sound

I wasn't aware the Z4 could do that, but I found this thread: viewtopic.php?t=16613GuidoK wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 1:03 pm As for the roof module, I'd go for a module that also lets you control the roof while driving up to 30mph. It seems a tad pricier than the £100 budget I started the thread with. Is it possible to do it for cheaper? Links would be helpful if you have any ideas?

I have an xcarstyle module, that lets you operate the roof until 55km/h (34mph) but the list price is indeed above £100 (especially at the current conversion )
However xcarstyle also always puts modules on ebay in an auction, so usually people can get them for less than the €210 or so list price.
These modules are quite popular in germany and the netherlands (no problems with reading german auctions on ebay).
Here is a current auction for an xcarstyle e85/e46 roof module
http://www.ebay.de/itm/BMW-3er-E46-Z4-E ... 2480138013
I think I paid around €170 when I bought mine 6 years ago
I think the installation manual is in english (but I'd have to check that). Installation is a little bit more difficult as the module also has to have the speed input of course.

mods4cars has another module that lets you open the roof op to 40kph (25mph) but is more expensive: €249,0 (and no ebay auctions...)

Just had a quick research - OMG what a difference! Is there any product you'd recommend? I've noticed one guy on youtube doing it with hardware shop-bought stuff but lots of people said it'll melt in the hot sun. Would like to get the proper stuff if I'm looking after a baby Zed of my own. Thanks

These are two door cars, that kit has four I see. Wanna goes halves on the door pins? I'll take 2 assuming they are the correct ones?
My door mastic sound deadening stick on stuff from B&Q doesn't smell and hasn't melted.

If your doing sound deadening in the doors then stick some scraps on the underside of the crappy, rattly parcel shelf and glue some black carpet on the top side. No rattles and makes the interior quieter when the hoods up. Black carpet looks much nicer through the rear window too !

Depends where you live. There are a few members who will move your roof motor. I had mine done by Ducklakeview (Mike) who did an excellent job without breaking the bank. He is based in the North West. Another very useful member is Andy Fanshawe who will tackle most jobs. He is based near Chesterfield. I haven't been a member long but have had a huge amount of help and advice from forum members.

I did a full write up with a products list here viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53812JPB wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 3:00 pmJust had a quick research - OMG what a difference! Is there any product you'd recommend? It also includes the addition of door speakers but you can ignore that bit
