What's the worst bit of your zed?

For the seat belt issue, I bought a couple of 'genuine' Recaro seat belt pads.

The only other bits that I dislike are the relatively small tank, and the sports seats that don't actually support you very well when driving sportily.
Trigger’s Z4MC
Some bits now over 163,000 miles, some less than 1,000 miles.

Electric steering and the tin doors that sound as if they have been taken from a Lada!

Buy a facelift car

In all seriousness, the facelift cars had more sound insulation / deadening.
I already have the sheets of sound insulation and the new Butyl tape to refit the liners has just arrived today

Is this common? I thought it was just mine that beeped if I left a heavy coat on it, let alone Watneys Party 7.
Rosie my little cavapoo sets it off too - should really put a belt on her anyway

Lack of proper cup holders! Something like the E46 ones (next to the handbrake, interchangeable with storage compartment) would have been ideal. Luckily the Machine Monkey solution seems to do the job :)

(Disclaimer - I only use the cup holder for a water bottle, no other food or drink is allowed in my car!)

What's wrong with the ones in the air vents? I keep a 500-750ml water bottle in there when I'm driving and in 140,000 miles I'm yet to have it jump out.

I wouldn't put 4 gallon US style soft drink or coffee cups in them though as that's just asking for trouble.

Interior rattle/creeking, it does my head in there is one bit i simply can't get rid of no matter what i've tried.
likewise again as above the seatbelt cutting the neck of ya, i had to get seatbelt pads which sorted that

I installed sound deadening in the doors which made a big difference to the hollow/cheap closing sound

The steering. That's why I sold mine. Completely screwed an otherwise, excellent car.

Irritating emergency brake assistance on the facelift cars... to quote a certain Kimi Raikonnen - 'leave me alone, I know what I'm doing!'

My car didn't come with air vent cup holders, and I didn't fancy paying £60 for one to retrofit!

Who decided to put the hazard lights button just by the handbreak so when you release the handbreak it's easy to accidentally put the hazards on. I find it really annoying!!
