Have your seats got a memory function? If so what was involved in getting it to work. I have managed to make some progress with my installation thanks to FishyDave and Mr PT plus all the information on your thread. I have located two looms which I hope will be suitable and an Install set. ECS the company yours came from no longer have them but I found the part in Vilnius. It should arrive next week. So the heated aspect should be taken care of. However the auto electrician who is doing the work seems to think there will be problems with getting the memory element to work. Any information on how yours was done would be very much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Ian

Yes mine has the drivers seat memory function. All I can tell you Ian is that I gave the loom that Fishy Dave sourced from the US along with the retro-fit wiring diagrams to my Indy and collected the car the next day and everything was working, including the drivers seat memory settings.IRD wrote: ↑Mon Jul 10, 2017 11:33 pm Marlon

(The only minor hiccup was that he had wired up the console buttons the wrong way so the right button was heating the left seat, I took it back and he swapped it over. So a tip would be went fitting to test the heated seats one at a time)
Good Luck

Thanks Marlon. At least I know it is possible. I have to admit to being completely out of my depth regarding the technical electrical side of this process. I'll pass the information on to the auto electrician who is doing the job for me.
I'm really grateful for all the help I have received from everyone. Without it I wouldn't have known where to start.

I have managed to find the loom Dave sourced in the States for flitting the seats. It has come from a BMW dealer in Lithuania. Looks right and has the correct part no.. I also have a copy of the BMW retrofit installation instructions for heated seats. I have changed the switch panel and replaced it with one which has heated seat buttons. Did you give your garage anything else in order to do the job? I am going to speak to the auto electrician tomorrow to see if he can now complete the work. Failing that I wondered where your indi garage is. Since the mechanic has already done your seats he hopefully would be able to repeat the process.

Hi Ian,
Good news sourcing the loom - well done
Regarding installing - it may help if you labelled up the loom based on the retro-fit schema. Dave did it for me and I'm sure it helped.
All I gave my Indy was the loom, the wiring diagram and the new centre console panel - he then fitted it in a day if I remember correctly.
I reckon any Auto Electrician worth their salt should be able to wire it in once they have the loom, however, my Indy is 'Plox Motors' based in Tarleton Lancashire. If that is near to you I can give the owner a call and let him know the score if you want go down that route
