paulgs1000 wrote: Sun May 07, 2017 6:17 pm Well, I need to sit down and read everything carefully again but it's great to know that it can be fitted on the M and works without coding. I'm awaiting delivery of my stalk and loom from Sopers (stalk in stock, loom on order). I have it booked in at my specialist on the 23rd for MOT and CC fitment. I'll let you know how this turns out :)
Thanks to all for the long effort put in to sort this out . . . :o :D
Hi Paul

Do you have a part number for the loom you're getting off Sopers? I have the stalk and lower cover already, but don't know the numbers for the other wiring parts I need. Am I assuming correctly that this loom is pre built and all that needs doing is connecting/splicing?

Many thanks!

If you ring Sopers 01522 690000 and ask for the part department they are very helpful. I believe the sub wiring loom is the same for all applications (just used in different ways). Haven't received mine yet, when I do I can post up the number if you'd prefer.

I just ordered the stalk and loom - asked for it to fit the Z4M roadster and was told they are normally kept in stock but the loom wasn't in stock (supposed to arrive today). Cost was a smidgeon under £128 for both (with forum discount).

You need to cut two wires to the LCM. All the required terminals are supplied with the loom. It's just a bit fiddly if you cant get the loom out past the dash. Also make sure you are cutting the correct wire. There are two yellow/purple wires, only slightly different in colour.

The first owners should be shot for omitting the £150 option of the cruise control. Who in their right mind pays £45k for a car and won't spend £150 for a cruise control?
Current:
911-50 Black - unique spec
X5M - 575 hp of fun in a V8
Abarth 595 Comp.
Golf Clipper - collectors item
Z4 3.0si Black Sapphire
VW ID.3

Previous:
Z4M Silver Grey - non flimper spec (gone to Bing)
Z4 3.0 Toledo
