The hot wire cutter seems to give a better finish as it fuses the cut edge into a smooth wall and doesn't distort the rest of the slabdaveR6 wrote:PerryGunn, that's pretty much what I used, just not a hot wire cutter, I used a router, going to have a good go at it tomorrow, T22FFN - can't bring myself to pay that much... They look great though [emoji106]

Nice buy just need a couple of grand to fill em up.T2FFN wrote:Just reserved this 3 cabinet Pro range deal: http://www.halfords.com/motoring/garage ... tool-boxes
Use code B15MT10 for an additional 10% off, so £225 for the 3 cabinets. Saving £275!
Seems like a very good deal.
*Edit* Link appears to fail every time, just go to halfords > Motoring > Garage Equipment > Tool Chests and there's a banner for a combo 5 drawer cabinet, 7 drawer chest and 4 drawer chest for £250

Re: Garage cabinet deal (Halfords)
It was something a neighbor did years back when I lived in Brighton, as I recall it was quite a simple process, he just traced the outlines on a styrofoam sheet, made a hole in the section that would be cut out, threaded the wire of the cutter through the hole then cut out inside the traced line - once finished he'd flipped the sheet over so you couldn't see the outlines he'd drawn.daveR6 wrote:Any Pictures of examples PerryGunn, could be interested in this
It all looked very neat and tidy but I suppose it depends how steady your hands are and would probably be easier if you had/made a flatbed hot wire rather than a hand-held one - something like this http://www.hhhh.org/joeboy/resources/ho ... utter.html
