Reg no V25 BMW - one more try
40% of pr117's posts since he joined in July 2020 have been him hawking this plate which he could have sold already but wanted more coin, and because the dealer now "needs me to sign something in UK" and that's a problem wants a forum member to make the sale happen for him. I mean, what could go wrong? It's a £350 plate at most.
On the positive side, pr117 does actually have a Z4 and is posting some interesting mods on his car which is located somewhere outside of the UK.

I will take this as an "up", thanks. As for the % given I prefer spending my time in garage rather than collecting posts.dgmx5 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 9:30 pm 40% of pr117's posts since he joined in July 2020 have been him hawking this plate which he could have sold already but wanted more coin, and because the dealer now "needs me to sign something in UK" and that's a problem wants a forum member to make the sale happen for him. If a dealer (Elite Registrations Ltd) offers me £600 for the plate i'm pretty sure this is the price for it. They will put it for sale with quite a profit, selling it for 1k+. I admit, not being able to sign the paper they send only to UK address is my problem. Then again I have about 10 years (time it can be held on certificate) to figure this out.
But you can tell me, what do you think should go wrong?

It's too expensive mate, it's not rocket science. Like people have said, it's a £350 plate, hell my mum bought a 5 digit plate for £400. Bite the dealer's hand off for £600!

The thing with personalised registrations is, when people want one they want something very specific and there are almost endless variations out there. It might be worth £1000 to the right person but you might be waiting a decade for that person to come along.
There are hundreds if not thousands of registrations with "BMW" in them available for less than £600, so if that's all someone wants they aren't going to buy this one. Essentially, you're looking for someone who:
1. Has a BMW.
2. Wants the number plate to remind people that the car is a BMW.
3. Doesn't already have a "BMW" registration.
4. Is happy to spend hundreds on a registration.
5. Feels that "V25" holds some kind of meaning for them, more so than any of the other letters & numbers available with "BMW" registrations.
That's got to be a very small pool of potential customers...

Quick look on the DVLA site, which is usually the cheapest, and there are no 6 digit plates with BMW in it for less than £1299.
If the V25 part had any relevance for me I may have been interested.

Those are asking prices which, by the look of it, nobody is paying. Having your car brand on your plate is a bit 90's/estate agent imo but each to their own

Collecting Cars lets users list plates. Might be worth a shot? I've never sold through the site so this isn't a recommendation, just a suggestion.

Unfortunately the only two plates I would be interested in would be far too expensive even if I could find them for sale.
