Lush or not?

Post by mmm-five » Sat Aug 05, 2017 5:09 pm

Was looking for some used bucket seats for the Z4, to retrim in black leather & champagne alcantara (just like the Recaro Pole Position ABE scheme that's no longer available)...
Image

...and came across this alcantara-trimmed Z4.

Think I like it...a lot (not necessarily with the red stitching though)...

The two-tone seat is to keep it in the same style as my extended champagne interior...although of course it would be simpler to get all in single colour vinyl, leather or leather/alcantara.

Not sure if I like the look of all champagne leather Recaros.

Image

But also not sure whether it's because they're not photographed installed in a car...like these (not Pole Positions)...

Ahhh now you didn't say you had champagne extended leather did you.

I would perhaps play with champagne on the edge and the back and seat in black ?
Photoshop it to see.

Mmmmm not too sure tbh, as D4dawg says would look ok in car, perhaps all champagne would be better like in that 4 seater ?

I've already got full champagne, so no harder to keep clean, plus with an alcantara insert I could use upholstery cleaner.

They look great in the car buddy
I'd seal the leather with Swiss wax stuff or gtechnic
As I clean and protect my black ones once a month with colourlock and look as new

Love Alacantara, not sure it goes with champagne though. I take it there is no adjustment in the seats, so you either fit or you don't.
