Z4M ///M Tri-color badge on rear

Post by Pures3 » Thu May 25, 2017 2:38 pm

Hi All, my tri-color sticker on the rear is faded a little and want to replace. I ordered a tri-colour sticker to peel off the old one and replace (from eBay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-M3-emblem ... 2043742003). It's miles smaller than the one on the Z4!

Anyone know anywhere that sells good a good quality replacement.

Loathed to buy a full badge as it's in good condition (appart from the /// tri-color bit).

Cheers, Greg

PS. Did a search and didn't come up with much on this.

BMW only do the badge as a one-piece, rip-off £50 item (51148041425).

The only other option is to take the whole thing off and replace it with one of the more common smaller ones (for example).

I miss the proper metal & enamel ones you used to get on the older Ms (they tended to get nicked a lot and BMW used to replace them FOC)!

Someone on M3Cutters did the stickers for a couple of quid for all 3 badges, perfect fit and easy to change. Have a search, can't remember his name unfortunately.

Tried that mate, it's a guy called Navets, sent him a PM a few days ago, I don't think he is active much on there.

Might see if I can find a printers that will make a new one up for me. Will keep you posted unless anyone else has any ideas?

It's definitely Steve, he's a top bloke and still active. He sorted a set out for me only a couple of weeks ago but just make sure you ask him to size them exactly as he did for me...I had to measure mine up and send him the dimensions because he didn't have the sizes for the larger badges fitted to the Z4M. Just ask him to duplicate those he made for Steve Milling.

Probably just as well else you would see them plastered on even more non-M cars!

Thanks Steve, I've mentioned you in the email I sent him. Keep you posted. I don't mind buying a few of these and keeping them in case anyone else needs one.

I don't think so. I presume it's a special pressed metal piece or something? Mine is doing the same but I just live with it.

My rear badge is fading too though, so I'm keen to go the decal route when I see how it turns out for you guys!
