How many?

Do BMW publish any production figures for manufacture/export of their cars?
I know my Z4MC is quite rare but it would be interesting to know how many have been produced, how many are RHD for the UK and even by colour?

I think it's 532 Coupe's in the UK.
I think BMW GB will tell you.

Z4 M Production, 2006-2008
Coupes, Worldwide: 4,275, North America: 1,815.
Roadsters, Worldwide: 5,070, North America: 3,042

im sure i read somewhere that there were only ever 2028 M coupes made worldwide....
obviously i could be wrong but im pretty sure my dealer confirmed it or even showed me the article!

Good post markw. I think as stated above there's only about 500off don't know where the info comes from but as owning one its good to know. Crikey less then lotus elises.

I'm assuming these are just the 1815 build FOR the US market as they match with Rabman5's figures exactly.
That leaves 2,460 for the rest of the world
Production figures
North America S54 engine E86 M Coupes: 1815 built from 05/2006 through 09/2008
2006 Production began with Vin# 6LLxx000
2006 NA Production: 380 built from 05/2006 through 09/2006
2007 Production began with Vin# 7LLxx380
2007 NA Production: 1187 built from 10/2006 through 09/2007
2008 Production began with Vin# 8LMxx567
2008 NA Production: 248 built from 10/2007 through 09/2008

Accoriding to Wilipedia I have a Getrag transmission in my car - obviously not a reliable source. I'll add to pmeloche's post (his source is correct) - ~ 127 Z4MC's were manufactured for the Canadian Market.

It would be interesting to know how many M roadsters and M coupes were sold in the UK and what colours, will BMW UK be able to get this info?

I got this info from BMW UK -
Thank you for your email regarding production figures.
The production figures I have access to are solely for the UK and I can advise that 578 Z4M Coupes have been registered. Unfortunately I can not advise of the total excluding the 3.0i.

Weird statement, does she mean Z4 Coupes not Z4M Coupes? If so she can't possibly mean there are 578 Z4 Coupes (M and non M)? If she does, I have seen at least half of them! Plenty of 3.0s around

Interesting, so there is only 578 Z4M's in the UK maximum, and a lot less than that if this figure includes the 3.0s!
Superbow - can you get confirmation if this figure is just Z4M's, and it would be interesting to see a colour breakdown too. If anyone has any contact details at BMW, Ill ask them myself
