Machine monkey and I did a motor swap a few months back and have a spare recon between us. We're both happy that it goes to a needy forumite f.o.c would just ask you cover MM postage (or collect). And if it does solve your problem, maybe a donation to the forum or number 5s zedward relay?
Drop machine monkey or myself a pm if interested.
I'm so glad I joined this forum, I can't believe your offer absolutely fine by me to pay postage and if all ok and it works again then definitely make a donation, I'm just glad I checked here again as I was about to order a new motor and pump, if i pm you my address let me know what the postage is and I'll send it over by PayPal or direct transfer many thanks cheers Andy
Andy, no problem. You'll be best to pm machine monkey, the recon motor is with him (he did all the work getting it running, I just supplied the donor).
Hope it get the issue resolved.

You share any info on how to do this? May affect my decision on buying a 2006 z4mr.

There is plenty of info on here about roof motor moves. There are a few members who offer a service to do it for you, for a fraction of what a new motor would cost you.

Correct on Virginia, USA. New to car, forum. Older but a fair mechanic and looking for info. Would like to avoid removing top (small boot/trunk- older body) to solve top motor problem through relocating it to the boot/trunk. Possible to access motor without removing the top first time?
