M Remap disabled cruise control

Post by darkpker88 » Fri Jan 29, 2016 9:46 pm

Hi Guy,
Just had the M remapped and the throttle response feels sooooo much better, had gains of 20/25bhp but this includes and Eventuri intake and Supersprint exhaust system.
However my question is has anyone ever had a problem with the cruise control not working after having some ECU work?
Think it may be to do with the map changing the throttle settings and has confused the cruise.

What have the remapers said about it?
If it's something they've removed then it's down to them to get it enabled again?

I wonder if they changed the "vehicle order"

I have been told when retrofitting on an ///M that cruise does need coding, 540 in the retrofit section.

I would be going back to the mappers though in your circumstances.

He is currently looking into as only got the car back at 18:20 today.
Looking at other forums seems to possibly be the reflashing causing the cruise control not to get picked up, possibly a map directly to the ecu rather than through the obd port may fix this bug.... was just wanting to see if any others have had similar issues.

not usual.... but i guess to much of a co-incidence

but guessing a simple fix either way, possible that a CC component has failed at a co-incidental time??

Was it the remap ?

My cc isnt working either and seller said that speed limiter was removed so probably mine was remapped as well.

Thanks !

I know i dont have a Z any more but i do have a 2007 330D M-Sport. took it for a DPF & EGR delete along with a gearbox and stage 1 engine map yesterday and now ive got no cruise control! seems like somewhere in the process of the map it wipes the coding for it. The company who have done the work have said they are happy to get it sorted but still not happy about it happening in the first place. Especially since ive paid £560!!!
