I would happily Mike, takes 10 minutes. I'm near stroud though so not sure how far you want to travel. Alternatively I'm at Castle Combe all day Monday if that's any closer for you?

I'm sure Meeko won't mind me saying but he's in Bath and can obviously do this so might be worth dropping him a PM.
Tom, what you up to at Combe Monday? Anything going on worth coming down to watch?

Andy, just a track day on Monday... Few nice bits of metal turning up though. Pop by if you're in the area?

Re: M Track Mode enabled on Z4MR
Ah awesome! Used to love going to Combe on the off chance of a random track day when I was a younger, always good viewing at Quarry! Might be tight with work but if I get a chance I'll pop down and say hi, be good to see an M out on track! Wonder if the garage is still open next to the track as well, forget its name, spent a fortune with them putting a Dastek piggyback ECU on an AX GT I had back in the day (had a VTR engine!), fun times!TomK wrote:Ah yes I forgot the main man is in Bath, so a lot closer. Re: M Track Mode enabled on Z4MR
One of my earliest (circa 1996) track days was at Castle Combe, and used to pop along to the deadly 'magazine' or 'action' days.
Picture is of my Corrado VR6 with Schrick head, cams, valves, VGI intake, AMD VGI controller, lowered suspension, AP brakes and BBS RK2 wheels.
Haven't been back for ages as I prefer the more technical and much closer Oulton Park now - or the 'Ring for the longer trips. I think I still had the M5 the last time I went there, and had fun doing synchronised drifts around Quarry with a turbo'd MR2.

Re: M Track Mode enabled on Z4MR
Love it! The action days were great, for a spectator anyway, christ the amount of kiddies going banzai clearly on a track for the first time was scary, many 205's/Nova's and various other (affordable then) hot hatches got destroyed on those days! Glad the Corrado survived, I was never brave enough personally and was only a kiddie myself!mmm-five wrote:One of my earliest (circa 1996) track days was at Castle Combe, and used to pop along to the deadly 'magazine' or 'action' days.

Fair play on the MR2 drifting, had 2 Mk2 Turbo's in the day, epic car's, frikkin scary on the limit though, drifiting those was well out of my abilities! A few scary tank slappers was as much as I managed!

Re: M Track Mode enabled on Z4MR
I just happened to run across Meeko's posting from August 2014 on how to enable track mode on a Z4M. Didn't even realize I had a light on the dash for DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) as it had never illuminated, even when first turning on the ignition and all the warning lights do their brief test. I immediately hooked up my computer to my 07 Z4M and enabled "TDR" in the MK60 module and it works great! Now, a brief press of the DSC button turns on the DTC light and a two second press turns on the DSC light. Thank you Meeko!

give me a spanner anyway and ill work away, electrics, wiring and coding = me completely lost.
