My thought on this would be perfect for the road where you want some more fun but not dsc off in case you have a big costly mistake. On the track I just turn dsc off in all conditions to enjoy the car. Why would this M mode be better on the track ?

Because you could have a big costly mistake as much on a track as you could on the road presumably....

Yea true. For me I am slowly becoming a better driver on track driving without any aids. I do fall off now and then of course, but I get a big sense of achievement catching a slide myself, rather than the lighting quick computer taking over. I guess it depends on how much room you have to play. If it only kicks in when you about to do a 360 then it might be just the thing.

In my experience the DSC will not save you from a spin when you have to do an emergency manoeuvre in the wet :|

I tend to leave it on in the wet, and turn it off in the dry - and those slightly wider 265 PSS on the rear help.

An old XP machine should do the trick. Virtualisation doesn't play ball on Win10 for me but was fine on Win7.

VMware fusion 7 with Windows XP works flawlessly on my Macbook 12". I've used this setup to do my M-track coding.

got hold of an old one from work, about to start again.... this one has vista.

just booting it up and giving it a good clean, it hasn't been used for years, lol, so many updates to instal but its running fast, so this one should do the trick.

ill keep it for coding only from now on.

well software is all loaded up... after about 3 hours ;-P

so I'm about to go outside to the garage and have a go..... this to me is complicated s**t. lol!!

Edit; too cold in the garage, other things on my mind, tomorrow is proposal day for wifey :driving: :driving: taking her to the cotswolds so ill have to come back to this next week i think, everything is successfully loaded to the laptop so its a case of trying to understand the coding process itself, so it will give me a few days to swot up on the process.
