Introducing myself and my Z4M Roadster
Some of you might recognise me from other forums (Sixspeed does) but hello Z4-forum!
Got my M Roadster 4 weeks ago and I've tweaked it 'a bit' from day one, as well as treating her to 2 Nurburgring 'run in' sessions ....
Here she is, my 2006 Interlagos Z4M Roadster posting next to my daily ride, my E92 335D.
I've swapped the OEM springs out for a set of H&R Euro Race springs, which has lowered the car slightly but the main advantage is that the springs are a lot more progressively sprung. I've also ditched the heavy OEM 18"s and replaced them with a set of M3 CSL rims.
The brakes on the Z4M work better than those on the E46 M3 (likely because it's a lighter car), but seeing that I'll be tracking the roadster quite often, I swapped out the original brakes for a set of Brembo GTs, purely for more consistent braking action/pedal feel and durability under hard use.
I also found the original Z4 headlights a bit poor despite having xenons. I upgraded the D2S bulbs to SSDD Motorsport's 8000K xenon bulbs and the difference is amazing. It is not only crispier but the light beam penetrates a lot further. Thoroughly recommend this.
As most of my modifications are likely to be performance orientated, this is probably the only cosmetic mod I'll do to the car. It just finish off the rear boot line so nicely. I added an Alpina lip spoiler from thier Roadster-S.
So here she is as she stands. Lovely chassis, gorgeous engine. Many hours of driving pleasure.
My Eisenmann exhaust should arrive in a week or two. The noise is going awesome!
Here are some of pics of me and my Roadster at the Nurburgring.

Oh it's HIIIIIIIIM!
Hello mate. Love the car. Brakes are a definate must and having now pushed harder at the 'Ring last time have jumped to the top of the "next mod" list, so you made a good decision doing these early on, esp if you want to track it a fair bit. Don't know if you've seen my post elsewhere on here somewhere - found some Carbon Ceramics.. very tempting! Brembo's look fantastic though!
Do you find the 8000k bulbs a little too blue? I had 8000s on my old VX220T, and thought they were a little too blue, so went for 6000s on the Z4. But with all these things, I think they vary anyway depending on who manufactures them, and on the car/headlights they're installed in...
