More than likely...carl wrote:I reckon no more than a cheeseburgersixspeed wrote:Still need to weight the standard panel tho, to work out the weight difference... lol
Tbh, the standard panel is quite weighty - there's a very noticeable difference when you're carrying them, but what it actually works out to on the scales probably won't be a lot in the big scheme of things (kerb weight).
But with the other mods I have planned over the next year or so - Carbon/Kevlar seats, Carbon Ceramic brakes, and possibly one or two other carbon panels - then it will add a nice finishing touch to the overall weight loss...

I saw this and I thought of you:sixspeed wrote: and possibly one or two other carbon panels - then it will add a nice finishing touch to the overall weight loss...
Although, I'm sure the weight loss is negligible, I thought it would be a nice carbon fiber tie-in.

Hehe, I've seen them (or one like them). They're nice aren't they? Bit pricey though, since they probably offer even less weight benefit than my roof...Kdawg wrote:I saw this and I thought of you:sixspeed wrote: and possibly one or two other carbon panels - then it will add a nice finishing touch to the overall weight loss...

At the risk of provoking the ‘wishing you had a roadster’ comment from someone………. Just came across this while googling to see if anyone had fitted a glass roof on the coupe, seems this is the closest anyone has come but based on the thread it looks theoretically very possible. Does anyone know of any reason why it’s a non starter? Other than it probably being quite costly to get the glass panel made.
Edit: having just got in my car I realise the roof lining is probably the most problematic part -_-

Always found it odd it wasn’t an option. On my 911 I really like the full sunroof
