I was reading up on these earlier. I think the ride is quite firm standard and I tend to enjoy keeping the sport button pressed, so was keen to find out if anyone else had these springs too?

This is the last link I checked out......

Eibach produce the Pro-Kit springs for the BMW Z4M.

Subtle lowering of 20mm front and 10mm rear axles not only gives a more aggressive look but also sharpens the handling, reduces the roll in corners and gets rid of the horrible ride quality that Z4M's come with out of the factory.

A fantastic upgrade.

Fitting can be carried out at our fitting centre and this will take approximately 4 hours.

i've heard similar things about H&R springs, that they are actually more compliant on UK roads then stock... can anybody confirm?

Here's a photo of my car on Eibach springs with stock size wheels and tires. Ride quality is similar to factory springs and lowering is less than one inch.

Not an ///M, but I can confirm Eibach springs ARE more compliant on a 3.0i on UK roads. I'd guess the same would be true on Z4Ms.

I've lowered my Z on Eibach Pro Sport Kit 30 mm drop ... best thing i've done to the car so far ... better ride, better handling more planted ... Gotta be a tad careful on some big pot holes (bottomed my car out yesterday!) but i can't really see a downside yet -- Bought mine from Euro performance £180

yes they are Mugello's ! They are one of the very few wheels I could pick up in a set that have the offset widths ...

I love it as well when you put the lowering springs on too, you get that lovely little kick out on the rear wheels where the geomety changes and the camber alters. Brilliant !

Would you like to elaborate? :)

I went for the H&R, they are sitting in my boot right now, just waiting for my mechanic to get some free time...

i have got th h&r springs, the ride feels a little firmer but more smoothed out and less skittish

not fond of the stock springs at all now i have the h&r's. if anyones break, like mine and many others have, do yourself a favour and 'upgrade'

not a very techie discription but before the eibach springs went on imo the ride was bouncy but now it feels a lot more planted without the ride being harsh

springs

So, everyone loves a bit of thread CPR don't they?

10 years afters buying a relatively unused set of Eibach Pros from another forum member (largely because of this thread). I was having a new set of rear PS4's fitted and FINALLY I was informed that one of the rear springs was broken. This also happened about 10 years ago but in the various moves it fell off the list of priorities.

Hoorah! After 4 house moves during which the original box gave up the ghost I finally got the Eibach pro springs on my Z4M and then took them to have a full hunter alignment.

So far I'm quite impressed. It looks slightly lower all round. More at the front than the back possibly. But nothing huge. Ride, I think is slightly softer but there seems to be slightly less actual movement overall if that's possible. Shocks are standard.

I've been driving this car for 11 years now and wish I'd done it when I bought the things but life happens.

Still, new tyres, new springs? Best I go out and enjoy it!

(Bought at c20k miles, now on c60k :D )
