Has anyone tried non-M Z4 or other E46 rear springs, perhaps with different platforms? Or maybe lowering springs from other models / stock Z4 that use slightly softer barrel springs?
I can't drop the car any lower than it is, given the speed bumps around here and also drive way access.

How big are the speed ramps? I run my zed about as low as you can on the road and never had any bother, short front overhang really helps.abar121 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 12:16 pm Has anyone tried non-M Z4 or other E46 rear springs, perhaps with different platforms? The only thing that does catch is the plastic deflectors in front of the rear wheels.

Tall enough to be a complete PITA being any lower. In one carpark it just touches the front fangs if I have a portly passenger on board.
I'd love to experience the ride in your zed at at some stage, if that's possible? I'm regularly travelling around the M25 North / M1.

Hunter alignment done. Just machine polished the old girl today. Shiny and pulling like a steam train!

Had the geo adjusted at Imperial Tyres in Swindon and the car is lovely. There's more compliance and it sits completely flat around corners. If anything it's slightly more compliant over bumps. New PS4's al round are great and for the first time in 10 years I got into a conversation with a guy admiring it after he'd just sold his M2CSL(for more than he bought it). Most people think it's a bog standard Zed

I can promise you on the rear they’re perfect… on the front they will take your fillings out if you drive on Kent’s cr@p roads

My MC came fitted with H & R coil-overs as well as a full set of Eibachs, a set of H & R lowering springs and 8 OE dampers!
Based on your thoughts, those of another forum member and a local BMW Indy I sold the Eibachs (and gave away a set of the OE dampers)!
For now I'm thinking of sticking with the H & R coil-overs but would love to know how different set-ups feel - hopefully now that might be possible.
