Sounds great

Is that the camera microphone, or was there a separate one in the engine bay?

That sounds so good! Having no roof lets a lot more sound into the cabin as in my coupe the Eventuri is no where near that loud.

Ordered from JF yesterday, asked today when it would be dispatched, 8-10 weeks.

Called Eventuri, who say 2 weeks max, strange. Have now requested a refund.

Can anyone recommend a supplier who can deliver quicker? Otherwise I may as well get the GruppeM.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Your say direct, but they are also just stockists are they not, maybe I've misunderstood you.?
Anyway I've emailed Evolve to check on price and delivery times so I'll see what comes back.

Your suggestion made me think about going to Eventuri, I called them, but no direct sales.

I've found another company who say they have one in stock, and were actually slightly cheaper.

I was a bit late in the day to make the order, so I doubt it will be dispacthed until after the weekend now, but I'll see when it turns up.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that, but I get it now 👍
Shame they didn't pass me through to their sales people, but never mind.

In answer to your question about the price difference, it ended up being £74.

@jellyfishfields
Perhaps redundant now that you have ordered an Eventuri, but I roughly edited the footage I have and put a video on YouTube. Excuse the lack of production… I really just make videos for myself, so I have never ventured out of GoPro studio (or whatever it’s called now).

Thanks for the link, very much appreciated.
If you don't mind me asking, what wheels is that you've fitted? Your car looks and sounds great.

The intake arrived on Tuesday, got round to fitting it today. Too wet outside to give it much beans yet though.

The wheels are Advan RS-DF. Form forged and very light.

I hope you enjoy the Eventuri 👍

Thanks, I really like those. To me the Z4 Coupe is like a modern take on a Datsun 240Z or a GT6, so ideally I'd like a set of wheels that look more like Minilites or Watanabe. Any ideas?

I considered Watanabes at one stage. You can get them in 5 x 120 PCD, but only in 17 inch and not in the 'R' spec, so no dish. I believe they do a 17 x 9 +30, which could work in a square setup (probably using a 10 - 15mm spacer). The few pictures available on the web look good to me, albeit with a very chunky tyre sidewall. There are also some potential issues fitting 17 inch wheels over the M brakes.

Another classic Japanese option that looks great is the Work Meister. They're pretty heavy, though. The ride quality on my car improved a lot by fitting lightweight wheels (I dropped about 5kg per corner, including a slightly lighter tyre), so I would really want a light wheel.

I saw Volk now makes a forged (of course) stepped-rim, one piece reinterpretation of the GC from the 1990s, called the 21C. I think that would look great on a Z... except the front face design for Z-compatible widths and offsets is a bit weak.

Honestly, it's really hard to find good wheel options for the E85/86 platform.

Thanks for the adivice, I'll check the suggestions out.

I've emailed a few places, including a UK manufacturer called John Brown Wheels, I'll let you know if I get any updates.

As before, I appreciate your help
