Genuine CSL v CS Wheels
I'm tempted to get some CS wheels for my Z4M
I've noticed the CS Wheels have different offsets on the front than CSL wheels.
Is that the only difference or are CSL wheels lighter?
Will CS work on the Z4M or are CSL's the one to get?
These are a link to the CS.

Do you think that's a fair price?

Yep the only difference is the CSL fronts are indeed a little wider, and subsequently very slightly heavier because of it.
Otherwise I believe they are identical, made of the same materials etc.

Will the fronts look ok being 0.5 inch less?
Logic says it would be barely noticeable

The CS wheels are 0.5 inch narrower (8") but also have 3mm more offset (+47 CS compared to +44 CSL), therefore they are sunken into the arch quite a way on a Z4m so would probably look strange without spacers.
Bear in mind the standard Z4M wheels are also 8" wide but have a +42 offset and they are already reasonably sunken into the arch as standard.
If it was me I would probably run the CS front wheels with a 12mm spacer to make them look 'right'.

Has anybody actually fitted the CS fronts to an M? It's an option I'm also exploring.

This car is running CS front wheels, however I'm not sure whether it is running spacers on the front or not.

Spot on. I had a set on the car a long time ago, pretty sure I ran a 12mm at the front. Tyres would have been 255/35 r 225/40 f, correct size for the CS.bakes100 wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 10:45 am The CS wheels are 0.5 inch narrower (8") but also have 3mm more offset (+47 CS compared to +44 CSL), therefore they are sunken into the arch quite a way on a Z4m so would probably look strange without spacers.

Thanks, the fitment looks nice. Are you running spacers on the rears?

No I'm fairly certain it wasn't, but it was a long time ago.
Pretty sure this photo shows what they are like with no spacers, (none on the front so definitely not on the rear)

Great, thanks. The spacers do make a good difference to the front

How come they worked on an M3 CS? Was the front track wider than a CSL or perhaps the wings narrower? Or did they just sit further in?

This. They're identical in size to the normal 19" diamond cut M3 wheel... and same tyre sizes 225/40, 255/35.
There's no difference other than small details (arb, dampers) of the front axles between CS and CSL, nor the wings.
M3 Front Rim : 8J et47
M3 Rear Rim : 9.5J et27
