Thoughts on Recaro Sportster CS?

Post by GT Spec » Thu May 20, 2021 4:46 pm

Hi all,

I’m seriously considering some Recaro Sportster CS Performance Editions for the M R.

The car currently has the original carbon leather dash and the red nappa M seats/door card inserts.

What are your honest thoughts? The like the carbon leather on the Recaro’s and think they would match the existing scheme well.

Cheers

If I was to ever replace my seats it would be for a pair of Recaro Sportster CS. Personally not a fan of the Carbon trim on those particular seats though.

I suppose either the red/carbon/black dinamica or simply red & black dinamica would work with your colour scheme (or black & champagne for mine).

I only went with the Pole Position ABE because they were less than half the price of the CS seats.

Lovely seats. Had a set in a mini r56 jcw. Had the rock hard no cost option sport suspension on it but the seats made up for it. Really comfortable and supportive on a long journey.

Now with added joy of Gruppe M.

Those would be the dream. I think I wouldn't want to lose the heated seat functionality. I believe there is a Polish bloke on ebay who can tailor them to your car. He has them with the bmw performance logo embossed in the headrest I believe.

I cast my vote with a resounding YES! Considering the interior you have, these would look (better than) factory.
