Remus VS Supersprint
Just a musing for no other reason than that.
Took the Remus back boxes off the M yesterday to fit a pair of Supersprint powerloops to see which I preferred. You tube can only tell half a story, in the flesh is the only way really due to to inaccuracies in sound recording. Looks wise the Supers take it by a country mile, bigger diameter pipes with a slash. However sound wise, and the most important test, the Remus take it. Both pretty much the same up to 4K revs, the Supers a little deeper in bass, then the Remus take off whereas the Supers stay pretty much on the same decibel level, they just don’t have the rising howl of the Remus. Both will pop if you touch the throttle on coasting. Weight wise the Remus are lighter too.
I guess it comes down to taste but personally on an M its a bit of a hooligan car so it needs an exhaust worthy of that....not sure I’d want an RPI though.....there are limits....

Interesting. Agree the powerloops are a little too quiet at top whack, and a bit boomy lower down.
Do you also have a resonance around 2000rpm?
However yes they look great and on the motorway on longer travels they’re not too loud.

Yes a little resonance at 2k, I know what you mean. The Remus don't have that either. I have to say the Remus are a better back box in every respect except looks where the Supers look perfect imo.

No, I don't, and I am pretty sensitive to that - I had to replace a new system on my Solstice for exactly that reason. I bought the Z34 after the RPIs had a bunch of hours on them, so I can't tell you if they were on the noisy side to begin with, but they are great now.Do you get any drone with the RPI’s..?

Remus VS Supersprint
Will you let me know if you’re ever planning to sell the Remus boxes? I’m interested in those haven’t had the courage to press the button and get a new set from the US...john-e89 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 8:03 pm Just a musing for no other reason than that.

I have the powerloop supersprint paired a groupeM intake. Perfect combination of not too loud but if you want some noise at full chat you can make gruppeM rawr
