UPDATE: M badges replacement Group Buy

Post by wonkydonkey » Thu Jun 04, 2020 6:52 pm

Yeah they do look good :) I have already fitted mine, as you know, so don't need any more, but I will honour my commitment to this group buy if my withdrawal would give you issues with quantities. Please contact me if that turns out to be the case.

They look great count me in for a set of the chrome badges and thanks for setting this up. Much prefer how the stripes fill the full cavity in contrast to the gap left around the perimeter with the OEM badges.

I will take one set of each. I am in the states, and am happy to pay any extra postage.

They look really smart, I’m undecided on chrome or black though. Has anyone got photos of black badges fitted to there car? My car is silver so black may look good.
What ever I decide I’ll still have a set.

The M looks a different shape to the original and the badges look slightly larger.

That’s what I thought. Don’t want to in any way diminish appreciation for the job being done for fellow forum members, but isn’t the “M” a bit fat? Like they’ve traced the outside of a stencil instead of the inside.

Some eagle-eyed members here :)

I think so too: noticed it myself after a while, not straight away though... I will mention that to the seller to see if they can get the manufacturer to adjust it.

They look very good in my opinion and frankly it is not going to stop me from getting myself 1 set of chrome and 1 set of black ones
(to accompany the black front grilles etc. ). I don't mind round(er) hips

I will consolidate the "shopping list" over the weekend with names, preferences and quantities and discuss with the seller: it may make sense to order individually as it makes it easy for payments and shipping (a few of us live outside the UK) and I am not the seller either :)

Have a great weekend and chat soon!

Well done Attilio

Badges look very good!

I found a local company to just replace the decals with high quality laminated paper. Decided this was best way to go for me as badges are still good condition and trying to keep everything as original as the day it was made

Hello there!

I got many responses and I first want to thank you all for your kind words. I am really happy I can do something for the forum: I got so much support when choosing the car and also a lot of advice on parts, maintenance and parts.

Anyway, back to the badges: the vendor has set up links to purchase them via Paypal (this means the payment will be protected). If you don't have a Paypal account you will still be able to purchase using a credit card on the same link.

The vendor also added a keyring listing in case someone is interested:

Silver chrome M badge set -- https://py.pl/147hjh
Mat black M badge set -- https://py.pl/1T5erp
BMW logo keychain -- https://py.pl/3El5ESJ6xgB

The price of a set is GBP 15.00 and I understand the postage to the UK is GBP 2.99 (for other destinations please contact Emma (the vendor) at this email address [email protected], she is very responsive and I am sure happy to help

Don't forget to post pictures of your Z4 M with the new shiny badges!!!

All the best
Attilio

Attilio wrote: Thu Jun 04, 2020 2:43 pm Hello there,

The sample badges have finally arrived: delivered to my door earlier today...

I received 2 full set: one chrome (like the OEM) and one black. I personally think they look very good and if the price is close enough to the original estimate (below) I will definitely go ahead and get myself 2 sets (of the chrome ones since my Z4 is Interlagos blue / prefer the OEM look). I took a few pictures, including some on the car close to the original (and faded) ones; see below:

Let me know you think and, most importantly, if you are still interested - I have 29 people who expressed initial interest and when we have firm numbers we will organize the order.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Attilio
