5.5k still isn't that much.
Tuning NA cars is expensive to begin with, no such thing as a free lunch here.

Bad news lads.
Rang them today early in the morning only to be told the price had changed to 5500 :(

Looks like she'll be staying non supercharged for another while. But you never know maybe ill just get the kit at a higher price. Its still a pretty good price in comparison to others.

Thanks to everyone that helped me out!
If i decide to go ahead with it ill let you all know!

It's not a bad price, but the pre-hike price was really good.

You wouldn’t be far off 4K to supercharge the brakes to keep up :driving:

Down to price to be honest mate. The 455 ess kit is 5500 before tax. And the g power kit offers no interest finance.
Even at 5500 including tax the g power kit is a good price. But as wonkeydonkey has said the price before the rise was just crazy cheap.

Ha, well at least we now know the retail buy price of the kit. I'd imagine the £3k is what they have paid for it.

Not only that but the 455 ess kit has afaik no cooler.
I would never buy a supercharger kit that has no cooling, especially not one that raises the power with 100+HP (50-70hp you maybe can get away with)

Yeah I would like the ess kit but unfortunately no hope of me being able to afford it.
Whats your opinion on the G power kit?

The G-power kit is fantastic imo.... love the blower used, love the hardware setup, great tuning out the box and really good TQ figures from the ASA blower. the ESS setup mimics the stock curve and just place it higher up the graph so it basically feels like a big engine swap it doesnt feel Force inducted.

Here's a pic of my setup. ( last dyno was around 530hp with new hi flow cats / large bore exhaust, ill dig out the graph when i have time and post it)

The kit seems to have a fairly good reputation! Is that implying that the g power has a less linear power output?

Mate that setup is unreal! I wont lie i was on youtube earlier before you posted this. And came across a video of a supercharged z4m. I was admiring said z4 when i saw the number plate, which said beedub. Needless to say i was impressed. How on earth do you keep your engine bay so clean?! Every nook and cranny

If anyone else has any supercharged engine bay pics they want to share to inspire me to fork out 5.5k feel free to post them and make me jealous! :D

Not that I’m blowing smoke up Beedubs ass but if you ever get the chance to see his car in the flesh don’t miss it, it’s off the scale, pics don’t get near to it in the flesh, it’s one of those installs you could stand the whole afternoon drooling over it. I came within inches of buying the thing a year or so ago, it was only the lure of a new pigster that I didn’t, kinda wish I had now although I’d have had to sell it back to him by now I think, it’s at its spiritual home...!

You should do a driving review. Showing the feel of driving it, driving noises etc, couple of skids

I wish i could, chances off that are pretty slim though tbh. I actually remember reading the forum of the car almost being sold. I was pretty chuffed when i came back a month or so later and saw it wasnt haha.
