Shorter illuminated OEM gearlever

Post by JoshsZ4M » Tue Dec 24, 2019 5:31 pm

Hi folks, and firstly Merry Christmas one and all 🙌

I’m looking for advice and potential product recommendations for a shorter, well weighted, illumated gear-lever for my MR, which will look as close to OEM look, feel, and quality as possible.

Not the easiest of check lists to hit all, I know 🙄

Any recommendations?

TIA

One from an M5 will work with a bit of mod to the boot, otherwise a modded ZHP is the alternative if you can find one.

I have a new, unused F10 M5 gear shifter that I bought to replace my OEM shifter. I’ve decided to fit a short shifter instead, so I’m very likely to be selling it at a reduced price if you decide that’s what you want to fit to yours.

This is either an F10 M5 lighted knob, or a ZHP lighted knob - previous owner installed it - very hard to tell them apart, they both accomplish the same mission. Boot with M stitching came from LeatherZ here stateside. This is a nice combo.

Hi Byron, I’m waiting to hear back from the manufacturer of the short shifter kit to see if they can make one for me whilst I’m in the UK, or ship it to Aus if it takes long than that to make. If they can do either, I’ll be selling the F10 shifter.

I’ve had a PM about it from someone else here, but I’ll let you know if he doesn’t want it.
