Factory options

Post by JoshsZ4M » Wed Sep 11, 2019 2:49 pm

So I’m intrigued on a couple of bits on my roadster... it has DSP (enhanced stereo??) and extended leather interior... so leather door cards, roll over hoops etc. Question is, how rare are these as options?

Hi, I have it on my 3.0 se roadster, ( New England leather ) i'm guessing it's very rare. I've been to a few Z meets and your only the 3rd person i know. (Me being one of them).
Judging by the invoice i have for the original car it was an extra £950. It make the car i think and my seats are amazing considering they are 15 years old.

Cheers ibasniper, that’s good to know! I’m having the whole car detailed and all of the leather treated in the next few weeks, so I’m looking forward to seeing it done... will be sure to get a few photos up of it!

Extended leather was thousands of pounds as an option. Pretty rare.

Given how expensive it was and the fact that the Z4M was supposed to be a legit Porsche rival at the time, I’ve always wondered why they didn’t cover the dash as well.

Extended leather isn’t the same as the New England.

Extended leather has a leather transmission tunnel where as New England doesn’t.

ibasniper, yeah sounds like you do👍👍
Extended leather is the bits you’ve mentioned, but not the flap for sat nav/cd though, or the sat nav surround or top of dash. What is included on the MR’s is the roll over hoops 👍

tonyz4c, yeah I think the MMA code is for individual leather, as against extended, cheers for the link though 🙌
