Ha! I literally pointed this scam out in another thread about a different scam yesterday. Can't believe it's on again!
Edit, in fact it was you who started that thread too.
Are you in with the scammers Gwest?

Merely posting to highlight the obsurdity of the asking price - at those prices I think we all know there is no car at the end of the sale process.
I would however be interested to know more about the scam you have highlighted - how does it work after the initial obvious step of listing a car you don't own at a price significantly lower then the average market value?

I'm happy to say I have no idea what the con is and I certainly won't be contacting them to find outGwest44 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 9:46 pm Merely posting to highlight the obsurdity of the asking price - at those prices I think we all know there is no car at the end of the sale process.

I imagine the scammers ask for a deposit for the potential 'buyer' to secure the vehicle - probably saying that someone else is coming to see it. They ask for a low enough amount that the idiot/uninformed person just sends it without thinking it through.Gwest44 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 9:46 pm Merely posting to highlight the obsurdity of the asking price - at those prices I think we all know there is no car at the end of the sale process.

This is a common scam with mobile phones on Facebook Market Place, apparently. £5/20 per person eventually adds up to a good sum.
