Ha! I literally pointed this scam out in another thread about a different scam yesterday. Can't believe it's on again!

Merely posting to highlight the obsurdity of the asking price - at those prices I think we all know there is no car at the end of the sale process.

I would however be interested to know more about the scam you have highlighted - how does it work after the initial obvious step of listing a car you don't own at a price significantly lower then the average market value?

I'm happy to say I have no idea what the con is and I certainly won't be contacting them to find out :thumbsup:

I imagine the scammers ask for a deposit for the potential 'buyer' to secure the vehicle - probably saying that someone else is coming to see it. They ask for a low enough amount that the idiot/uninformed person just sends it without thinking it through.

This is a common scam with mobile phones on Facebook Market Place, apparently. £5/20 per person eventually adds up to a good sum.
