New z4mc for me!
Hallo everybody, I am Luca from Italy and after a few other z I finally bought a z4mc.
Great engine great car, I love her!
But... previous owner mounted a full coil over set from HR and for Italy the car is definitely tooo stiff!
Which is the best alternative in your opinion for road use?
(On Italian very bumpy roads )
Ciao and thanks!

Welcome, welcome... your home town’s a really cool place, though thought Lucca had 2x c’s
Trust U never take the MC into the old town, though you have done lovely driving roads all over.
Can’t help on softer MC suspension thought... & don’t forget ...

Welcome to the forum. Have you thought of using the setup from the ///M Roadster, softer that that on the Coupe and better suited to less than perfect road surfaces.
And we need to see pics of this beauty too.

Z4MC is a good buy and no doubt a rare car, especially in Italy, however some pics would be nice.
Before you swap out the coilovers you may be able to adjust them so that they are compliant with your local roads.
I suggest raising the ride height and tweaking the rebound and / or compression (if they offer that adjustability). Alternatively get your mechanic to do this for you. Even a simple thing such as a proper geometry set-up could make the difference.

Do enlighten us, a geo setup that alters the spring rate/damping? Where do you get that done then, I'd love to know
Given the Op is running H&R's which are non adjustable other than ride height and are renowned for being very stiff I would suggest he would be better off looking at Bilstein B16 or KWv3 which use the stock top mounts like he would be at the moment but with some damping adjustability.

What a petty halfbaked keyboard warrior you are Tom. Having yet another arrogant pop, this time at R60BBA, I’d suggest merely because he gave me a thumbs up earlier......such little man syndrome....!!

Where in my post did I state that a ‘geo-set up alters spring rate/damping’?
You’ve already been told on another thread for being arrogant today.
Not doing yourself any favours.

You don't do yourself any favours giving out naff advice either, not like it's the first time. Op says suspension is too stiff, you say adjust (non existent) bump/rebound or rather bizarrely get the geo done, none of which is going to help address his issue.R60BBA wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 9:15 pmWhere in my post did I state that a ‘geo-set up alters spring rate/damping’?TomK wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 9:00 pmDo enlighten us, a geo setup that alters the spring rate/damping? Whether you can see it or not but having a spat on a new forum members thread doesn’t look good.
