Good morning,

Im looking replace my starter motor, are there any alternatives other than buying direct from BMW?

Put your details in realoem.com and get the part number and search on ebay and you should be able to find a Bosch one or similar.

Also try carparts4less, same company as ecp, just mail order and usually cheaper still.

Some ECP parts are crap, I have had some suspension fails from their parts. Not sure about the electrics though.

Stick to the branded parts, no different from buying anywhere else.
