What to do wheel wise
I’ve got a set of mint 224s with four year old good tyre on the front (continentals) and worn runflats (why? I know) that we’re on when I bought the car. These go replace after a few months for CM alloys CSL reps which have Goodyear F1 Assymetric 2s on in CSL sizes quite a bit of tread left. The CSLs are on now, my question is sell 224s, sell the CSL reps, sell both, keep both??
Any idea on prices for either set I have would be great.
Don’t want to start this as a possible for sale thread and have people show interest. Just want to know what you guys would do. Cheers in advance and as always, All the best.

I know you like to cosset & spoil your car op so i would consider selling both then going for genuine CSL that will always add kudos to a ZM .
This route will probably cost you around £1200 after selling the reps & 224s
This post is worth a read if you go that route viewtopic.php?f=49&t=112541
Or as you know i do have a rather fetching set of Veemann 19s wrapped with MPSS for a lump less than that

I’d keep your 224s as you’ll want them when you come to sell it....and then find better tyres when you can for that.
If you’re selling both then £500 for the 224s should be achievable and £350 for the csl should be ok. Genuine csl will cost you £1700 and then the tyres.

Keep the 224’s as they can always go with your car, I’ve got AVA Dallas on the MR as you know and I like them, I’ll be putting them on the MC shortly I’d have a look at a different set I’m sure Andy can point you in the right direction

I went through this dilemma, and I too have a set of CSL reps in the garage. I only do about 3k miles per year so I can't justify chopping and changing all the time. So I decided that (although I wasn't breaking any new ground) if I'm only going to buy one set of wheels OEM CSLs were the right long term choice.
If I was driving the car more and changing wheels regularly like some owners do, then I would probably never have bought OEM CSLs, particularly when you see some of the wheel combinations that Mr Wilks and others put on their Z's.

I say keep them all and buy more
I bought a set of CSLs soon after getting my ///M and used the 224s for track days. I then got a set of second hand light weight track wheels so retired the 224s. I’ve also got a set of TE37s just because they’re my favourite wheel

Agreed. I'm not sure why everyone is obsessed over CSLs. I would just keep the 224s in case you would ever want to sell your cars some days and go a different route if you really want another set of wheels. I love my BBS CI-Rs. Here are my shameless plugs for them

Everyone has CSLs because they're simply the best looking wheel for a Z4. Yes, some of us might have a different favourite wheel that is preferred over a CSL, but I don't think there would be many who say they don't like the CSL at all.
If you want to go for something very similar to a CSL check out the M359 wheel from the E9x M3 competition pack. No more perfect an offset exists for the Z4M than these wheels have!

No offence, but that picture doesn't do those wheels any favours...
